If you are arriving via Helsinki-Vantaa airport, the easiest way to travel by public transport to Helsinki city center and to Espoo is by train and metro. Take the circular train (I or P train) and hop off at Helsinki Central Railway Station. The trains depart every 10-30 minutes depending on the time of the day. To continue to Espoo from Helsinki Cenral Railway Station take a metro to Matinkylä end station. From Matinkylä busses 531 and 531b arrive near the venue. Public transport in Espoo, Helsinki, Kauniainen, Vantaa, Kerava, Kirkkonummi and Tuusula have a regional ticket system in use and it’s operated by HSL. Read more about ticket prices here. Downtown Helsinki and the Regatta Venue are both in the ab zone. Tickets can be bought at all metro stations and at HSL offices.
There is also a well organised city bike system – you can ride from Matinkylä station to a bike parking just a few hundred meters from the EPS Venue. Read more here.
At the airport car rental desks are on the ground floor between terminals 1 and 2. There is a parking lot at the EPS harbour.
